Florida Hospital Waterman has a great way to pay
your hospital bill on-line if you have a valid MasterCard, Visa
or Discover credit card. Please see below for a summary of our billing
and collection policies.
Insurance Claims
If you have insurance, the Patient Financial Services office will bill your insurance carrier if complete information was provided at the time of registration. Florida Hospital Waterman participates in most major managed care plans, and is an approved provider for Medicare and Medicaid. Though we try and assist our patients on coverage questions, it is ultimately your responsibility to know whether we participate in your plan. If you have questions, please consult your provider directory or call your insurer.
After insurance processes your claim, we will file any secondary insurances provided to us. If you have questions about your account, don’t hesitate to contact the Florida Hospital Waterman business office at 352-253-3311, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Patient Balances
If a balance remains after all insurances have processed your claim, we will send you a statement. You may also receive a statement from us if your insurance does not pay your claim in a timely fashion. In these cases, we strongly encourage you to join us in contacting your insurance and inquire about payment.
Patient balances are due upon receipt of your statement. If you are unable to pay the balance due within 30 days, we strongly encourage you to contact our office to discuss arrangements. As stated above, to utilize on-line bill payment you must have a valid MasterCard, Visa or Discover credit card. Other payment options include cash, check, money order, or cashier’s check. If you qualify, you may also take advantage of our medical loan programs that allow you to stretch your payments over time. Again, if you cannot pay the balance in full, one of our friendly customer service representatives or a financial counselor will be happy to discuss all of our payment options with you and help you find the plan that best fits your budget. Delinquent accounts may be referred to outside collection agencies if payment in full or mutually agreed upon payment arrangements are not obtained in a timely manner.
Financial Assistance
Financial assistance may be available to patients receiving care at Florida Hospital Waterman. Verification of income and financial information will be required to qualify for assistance. Physician Fees
Florida Hospital Waterman only bills for hospital-related services. Each physician involved in your care will bill you separately. Questions concerning physician fees should be directed to their billing offices.

To avoid delays in treatment for scheduled hospital services, please take
advantage of our pre-registration services. You can call registration
at 352-253-3770 and register over the phone, or use our on-line
pre-registration option.
